Student Worker: Spring Intern - UNC - Administration



Job Description



 


The Sustainability Marketing & Outreach Intern will help educate our campus community on various sustainability topics and initiatives through creating signage and social media content, assisting with tabling events, and writing content for our newsletter, website, and upcoming blog.





Job Responsibilities



Essential Functions:  



  • Educate students about sustainability efforts within campus dining through tabling events and other outreach. These include Coolfood Meal Tastings, Wipe Out Waste, Farm Stands, and other events.?   

  • Assist in creating and curating engaging social media content (photos, videos, graphics, reels, etc.).

  • Comply with the Carolina Dining Services Brand Guide to create digital & print collateral in Canva or Adobe programs focused on sustainability education. 



  • Write educational content for the CDS website, sustainability newsletter, and upcoming sustainability blog.

  • Promote current local offerings via digital Farmer Spotlights and our biweekly local chalkboard in the dining halls. 





Qualifications



Required Qualifications   



  • Must be a current UNC student  

  • Ability to work on campus for 4-6 hours per week during business hours

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 

  • Strong photography skills with the ability to capture high-quality images for marketing use.

  • Creative mindset with an eye for engaging content. 

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.). 

  • Beginner to Intermediate expertise in Canva 

  • Intermediate expertise in Capcut, Premier Pro or any additional video editing software 

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail


  • Ability to understand and use Microsoft Office/Google Drive
