Your Impact (Essential Duties)
Tax & Accounting Services:
- Learn and assist with various tax and accounting projects, including:
- Preparation of Forms 1099
- Annual business accounting services
- Various business tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Tangible property returns
- Support Client Accounting Services projects by applying basic accounting concepts
- Research and follow federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to team goals by completing assignments as needed
Audit:
- Learn and perform audit procedures according to firm guidelines and standards
- Assist in assessing compliance by reviewing and verifying financial accounts, fixed assets, inventories, payroll, cash accounts, grant program costs, records, and operating practices
- Verify information by comparing data to supporting documentation
- Prepare audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings
- Communicate progress and findings with supervisors and managers
- Research and follow federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to team goals by completing assignments as needed
Your Background
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in accounting or a related field
- Interest in gaining hands-on experience in tax, accounting, and/or audit
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to different projects
