Reddit Growth Assistant - Cybersecurity Startup

Part time contract role: 5-10 hours a week. Fully Remote. Flexible Hours. Async. This is a paid contract.

The Reddit Growth Assistant at cside will help run one of the most important organic growth channels for a cybersecurity startup. You’ll warm up and operate multiple Reddit accounts, spark technical discussions, reply to relevant threads. Your work will improve our presence across Reddit, Google search, and AI models like ChatGPT and Claude.

This role gives you practical experience with B2B SaaS startup growth, technical marketing, and cybersecurity research.

 

What You’ll Do

Operate & Grow Reddit Accounts

  • Warm up and maintain multiple Reddit accounts that behave like credible, real users.
  • Participate in natural conversations across tech and non-tech subreddits.
  • Build account trust so strategic posts and comments gain visibility.

Monitor the Ecosystem

  • Track competitor posts, trending threads, and key subreddits multiple times per week.
  • Surface conversations where cside should engage.
  • Identify recurring pain points developers or security teams discuss.

Drive Organic Technical Discussions

  • Spark threads with genuine questions, stories, debates, and observations.
  • Reply to relevant posts in cybersecurity, dev tools, and compliance subreddits.
  • Provide helpful insights without sounding promotional.

Strategically Introduce cside

  • Discreetly mention cside in threads where it’s genuinely relevant.
  • Follow subreddit rules while positioning cside as a helpful solution.
  • Use soft-promotion tactics (delayed replies, second-account replies, etc.).

 

You'll Be A Great Fit:

You don’t need to be a marketer. You don’t need to be a programmer. There is no minimum GPA. What we care most about:

Character

  • We will support you, but you should be ambitious and autonomous. If you build in your free time (a small business, a technical project, create content) you will get along with our team.

Subject Matter Interest

  • You’ll spend a lot of time involved in the world of cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and protecting websites against AI bots. If you find this interesting, you will excel in the role.

Entrepreneurial Mindset

  • We are growing an early stage startup. There are plenty of opportunities for you to learn and take on other responsibilities. If B2B SaaS or devtool startups interest you, you will fit right in.
