Glacier Guide
As a Glacier Guide, you will work with the Lead Glacier Guide to give tours and ensure tour flow and safe activity on the glacier. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting passengers loading and unloading from helicopters on the glacier
- Giving an engaging and factual tour (training will be given)
- Maintaining the safety of guests while on the glacier
- Working outside in varying weather conditions for up to 12 hours a day
To be a successful TEMSCO Glacier Guide applicants should be:
- Able to work independently
- Safety and customer service focused
- CPR and/or First Aid certified (or in the process of obtaining them)
- A passionate outdoors person
All Glacier Guides will train at the helicopter base before moving up to the glacier and will continue to work both at base and on the glacier throughout the season. Wage dependent on experience; position includes overtime pay, and end of season bonus. Flexible start and end dates. FAA required pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana).
