Cultural Resources & Volunteer Programs Intern-Central Office
This internship supports a shared initiative between the Cultural Resources Unit and the Volunteer & Community Involvement Unit. The intern will assist with strengthening public engagement in historical and cultural resource stewardship through the Time Travelers volunteer program, while also supporting data integrity, reporting, and outreach functions in the statewide Galaxy Digital volunteer management system. The role is ideal for a student interested in cultural resources, public history, volunteer coordination, community engagement, or nonprofit/parks administration.
Interns will also participate in intern-wide professional development activities and experiential learning opportunities that may require them to be off-site or away from their placement. Each intern will complete a personalized “demonstration of learning” project. At the conclusion of the internship, all interns will present their projects during a poster session for peers and Delaware State Parks staff.
