Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund

Reports to: Chief Communications Officer
Location: Little Rock, Arkansas, with virtual and hybrid options available
Duration: January through May 2026; Flexible start and end dates
Hours: 5-20 hours per week, depending on school requirements
Compensation: $11/hour

Job Overview: 
Nonprofit Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) seeks a part-time Marketing & Communications intern located in Arkansas. This hybrid and/or virtual role will help the Chief Communications Officer execute multi-channel campaigns to increase scholarship applications, donations, and volunteers. The intern will primarily create content for the blog and social media but will also assist with public relations, event promotion, and other related tasks. 

Job Qualifications

  • Working toward or earned within the past year a bachelor’s or associate degree in a relevant field such as marketing, communications, English, psychology, or journalism. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and designing skills. 
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms.
  • Creative thinker and fast learner and with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to take directions, manage multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of AP Style, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud products a plus. 
  • Photography and videography skills a plus. 

     

Job Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create articles and videos about scholarship recipients, alumni, volunteers, donors, and staff.
  • Manage social media by scheduling posts, monitoring platforms, and engaging with the community.
  • Assist with promoting the new ASPSF Alumni Alliance, spring fundraisers, and scholarship ceremonies. 
  • Draft press releases and attend local media interviews with staff
