Historic Preservation Intern

Join German Village Society to help bring neighborhood history to life! This internship is perfect for students interested in public history, museum work, or storytelling. You’ll research historic homes, archive key artifacts, support content for major events, and help create small exhibits for the Visitor Center.

Duties

• Research local properties using maps, archives, and public records

• Write short house histories and draft text for plaques

• Assist with research for events like the Haus und Garten Tour

• Help develop small exhibits and displays (labels, captions, timelines)

• Organize and scan archival materials

• Support projects that share the history of German Village with the community
