2026 Summer Camp Behavioral Health Staff
Camp Boggy Creek is a not-for-profit medical camp that serves children with serious illnesses. We have summer jobs and year-round volunteer opportunities. We are located in central Florida, approximately 45 minutes north of Orlando. Our summer staff directly impact and empower children.
A camp where children with serious illnesses and their families can forget the word "no" for a little while and embrace the promise of "yes."
No matter your major, you can learn and practice skills here that future employers and future graduate schools look for in applicants: critical thinking skills and the interpersonal skills of communication, collaboration, and leadership.
If you enjoy kids, trying new things, and choosing kindness, this could be the place for you! Don't worry if you don't have experience with children who have illnesses--no medical experience is necessary. We have medical staff and volunteers on site to take care of campers' medical needs, and we train staff in the medical information you will need here. Don't have much experience working with children? We train staff how to PLAY WITH KIDS here.
Benefits/perks:
- Bi-weekly paychecks.
- The job provides free on-site housing and meals.
- Staff can also receive CPR and first aid training, lifeguard training, and archery training.
- Regular professional development sessions teach staff additional skills as the summer progresses. Camp helps staff grow! (Click the link to let Jesus tell you about it!)
- Regular feedback.
- Experience in youth development while working for a non-profit organization in the medical field.
- Experience in event management, hospitality, recreation, communication, behavioral health, arts in health, problem-solving, working with and leading peers, conflict resolution, public speaking, and so much more.
- Fun! (Click the link to let Trinity tell you about it!)
- Optional staff activities during days off.
Summer job applicants must be at least 18 years old, and positions are contingent on reference checks, receipt of passing criminal background screening, fingerprinting, and medical / immunization requirements. We hope to have summer staff hired by mid-April, so interested applicants are encouraged to apply early.
All voices are needed at Camp Boggy Creek, and every new member of our team is an opportunity for our camp to grow. We want to hire a camp staff that is reflective of the campers we serve, so we strongly encourage diverse candidates to apply. Camp Boggy Creek is intentional about growing our diversity, equity, and inclusion, as we want all children and adults to feel safe, respected, and loved here.
