This Plant Engineer role is a strong fit for someone who wants to be a key technical leader on the floor, directly supporting operations and driving improvements in safety, quality, and profitability. You will be the go-to problem solver for your unit while helping optimize production and ensuring the plant runs efficiently every day. Top responsibilities include:
- Optimizing plant performance by monitoring KPIs, identifying trends, and using data to maximize production value and EBITDA.
- Troubleshooting operational issues, responding quickly to emergencies, and serving as the unit technical expert during unplanned events.
- Working closely with operations, production coordination, and supply chain to understand capabilities, plan production, and convert business plans into daily operating plans.
- Driving continuous improvement by analyzing costs, improving raw material efficiency, studying plant data, and applying lean thinking to reduce waste and increase reliability.
- Leading through influence by coaching operators, reinforcing safe behaviors, maintaining a strong field presence, and earning trust through strong technical skills.
The ideal candidate has: A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and zero to five years of manufacturing or related industry experience. Someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make a direct impact on plant performance will excel here. Experience with high hazard processes, or continuous improvement is helpful.
