Lifeguard certification is offered during orientation and required for all our Waterfront staff.
Camp Androscoggin is a boys residential camp in central Maine. Position dates are June 19th to August 14th, 2026. The positions are paid, and travel, room, and board are all included.
Androscoggin is the summer home for 250 boys between ages 8 and 15 and 100 staff. For over a century, campers and counselors have been playing sports, participating in a host of individual activities, forming life-long friendships, and sharing summers to remember on our 120-acre lakeside campus.
Days are divided between bunk responsibilities and working with campers in your activity area. The schedules are built so counselors have a chance to work with kids in other areas as well. Our staff goes on day and overnight trips with their campers. Staff can use the camp facilities during time off.
Other areas include sail, windsurf, waterski & wakeboard, canoe, kayak, fishing and beach volleyball.
Requirements
- Willingness and ability to maintain a safe environment
- Experience with your activity (playing or coaching)
- The ability to assist with multiple programs and work as a team
- Strong flexibility and problem-solving skills
