About the Role
The Community Outreach & Engagement Coordinator supports and connects families affected by bleeding disorders through resource navigation, program support, outreach, and communications. This role strengthens community relationships, promotes HFSC services, and ensures members feel supported, informed, and engaged.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and engage new families and connect them with HFSC resources.

Provide basic case management and support referrals for services such as insurance, counseling, financial aid, transportation, and education.

Coordinate programs and events, including scheduling, registration, logistics, and follow-up.

Assist with community engagement, outreach, and partnerships across the nine-county region.

Support HFSC communications, including newsletters, flyers, social media, and event messaging.

Maintain accurate records in HFSC’s database.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.

Experience in outreach, social services, or community engagement preferred.

Ability to travel locally and work some evenings/weekends.

Valid CA driver’s license, insurance, and reliable vehicle.

Culturally sensitive, professional, adaptable, and mission-driven.

Work Environment & Benefits

Full-time in Pasadena with some remote work.

Mix of office-based and community-based activities, including home visits and events.

Salary: $50,000–$60,000 DOE
