Political Campaign Finance Intern

Salk Strategies is looking for a paid intern to assist the Finance Department beginning in Spring 2026. The internship is an educational opportunity for those interested in learning more about politics and the inner workings of campaigns. This role can be in-person in DC, or virtual if needed.

Salk Strategies is a boutique Democratic fundraising firm in Washington, DC that specializes in both national & PAC fundraising for their Senate, House and Gubernatorial candidates. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting donor research
  • Updating campaign finance records and databases
  • Creating finance call time call sheets for the candidates / clients
  • Drafting memos for events and fundraisers
  • Reaching out to supporters
  • Assisting staff with long-term projects

Successful candidates will have:

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven organizational ability and attention to detail
  • An ability to work quickly and accurately, meeting fast deadlines
  • A commitment to working collaboratively with a diverse team
  • The ability to devote at least 15 hours a week to the campaign
  • A sense of humor

The Finance Internship is an nonemployment position, and the campaign will coordinate with schools if requested to facilitate school credit where available.
