Medical Assistant in Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery

This is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate who is interested in medicine to get a bird's eye view of what it is like to be a doctor on a daily basis. The candidate will work along-side an internationally recognized physician, researcher and educator seeing patients or answering phones and checking patients in. The responsibilities will include getting patient's medical history and assisting in procedures and surgeries, prescribing medications to patients, insurance verification, patient check in and check out as well as aiding in running the daily duties of running a busy elite office. The candidate will learn how to use surgical instruments as an assistant as well assist with laser treatments and various surgical procedures. The motivated candidate will also have ample opportunity to do clinical research. Many previous students have gone on to medical school, PA school, and Physical therapy school.
