Job Title:         Field Service Technician - Lakes and Ponds

Job Type:        Seasonal (April-August)

Compensation: $18-21/hr

Location:        Rogers, MN

Hours:             Average 40 hours per week, 6:00am Start

 

Job Summary:

Make the lakes and ponds of Minnesota your office for the summer with Lake Restoration. As a Field Service Technician, you will become a licensed aquatic pesticide applicator responsible for conducting weed and algae control services around the Twin Cities Metro area. You will be responsible for getting to each treatment site, identifying aquatic plants, and conducting treatments. 

 

Field Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with a crew member to conduct herbicide and algaecide treatments on lakes or individually on pond treatments throughout Minnesota.
  • Conduct treatments on invasive species such as Curlyleaf Pondweed, Eurasian Watermilfoil, Starry Stonewort, and other species that come into our service area.
  • Post treatment notice signs at each site.
  • Overtime may be mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Equipment Operation; Pickup truck/trailer driving, boat driving, and operating a pump.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including: 
    • A variety of standing and walking throughout the day.
    • Regular lifting of 20-30 pounds and occasional lifting of 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, motor vehicles record search, and criminal background check.
