Production: Extrusion Line Tender
Description:
- Spool/wind thermoplastic tubing coming off extrusion lines (both manual hand-spooling and automatic winders)
- Perform in-process quality checks: cut samples, measure OD/ID/wall thickness with calipers and pin gauges, verify print/lay line, and record data in Excel
- Wrap, label, and stage finished spools in the correct locations (customer rolls, breakdown, or stock)
- Respond quickly to line alarms, cut tubing when rolls are complete, and minimize scrap/extra tubing
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of out-of-spec conditions and notify operators as needed
- Grind unusable material, make new spools, and help with line changeovers
- Keep accurate production counts and complete required paperwork (quality verification sheets, regrind logs, etc.)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and help teammates when needed
Necessary Skills:
- Ability to Lift Weight (at least 40 lbs.)
- Ability to be Trained and Learn Product, Procedures, and Operations
- Maintain Clean Workspace
- Attention to Detail
- Willingness to Accept Responsibility and Provide Feedback on Process Improvements
- Listen and/or Read and Comprehend Verbal and Written Directions
- Ability to communicate in the English language without the use of a translator
- Willingness to Perform both Repetitive and New Tasks
