Soccer Shots East County San Diego, LLC, is a team of passionate individuals who love what they do and work with children aged 18 months to 10 years old.  We are on a mission to positively impact our San Diego community through the love of soccer. Our high-quality and high-energy soccer classes run weekly throughout San Diego County. We proudly serve and partner with Preschools, Elementary schools, and Public Parks; from Imperial Beach to Escondido, we serve thousands of families every week. Key Role:

The Coaching Coordinator works closely with The Director of Childhood Development to build a dynamic and successful Coaching team. This position is responsible for the training, team building, coverage, curriculum support, scheduling and completing evaluations, leading meetings, and coaching. This position is 50% on the field and 50% in the office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coach 5-12 Soccer Shots classes a week, dependent on company’s need
  • Assists the Director of Childhood Development with new hire orientation to all new team members
  • Assists with creating a training schedule for new team members
  • Schedules all coaching related shifts for teammates
  • Supports team members through 1:1 meetings
  • Holds coaches accountable and follow-up when necessary
  • Oversees and completes on-field evaluations for all team members and trainers
  • Assists with the development and continued training of the coaching team
  • Seeks out talent to promote internal team members
  • Assists in researching, creating, and improving training methods for the coaching team
  • Assists with monthly team meetings, creating agenda and team-building activities
  • Attends weekly coaching department meetings (has read or is reading Traction, EOS)
  • Serves as one of the first sub for absences or if coaches leave during the season
  • Represents Soccer Shots at community and Soccer Shots run events, a minimum of 1 time per quarter (not to include our Tournaments)
  • Responsible for all coaching inventory and gear

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry sports equipment (Approx. 40 pounds)
  • Reliable transportation in order to travel to classes all over San Diego and San Diego County
  • Full-time availability including on Saturdays
  • The ability to communicate with the Soccer Shots office while in the field
  • Proof of a TB test within the past 2 years from the date of hire OR proof of a TB test taken within 6 months after the hire date; proof of a new TB test must be taken every 2 years
  • Completion of 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units
  • Proof of Pediatric CPR Certification must be completed within 2 months of the start date; Pediatric CPR Certification must be reissued every 2 years
  • Completion of the Mandated Reporter Training; certification required
  • Availability 90% of Soccer Shots business hours, Saturday’s required


 

Pay range: $21-$26.50 per hour

Full-time position that includes:

  • 17 paid holidays (only with completed ECE units)
  • 5.4 days of accrued vacation a year
  • 40 hours per week, plus mileage reimbursement
  • Cell phone reimbursement monthly
