Sales & Marketing Assistant
Location: Remote (must work U.S. Eastern Time hours; clients primarily in New York)
Position Type: Full-Time & Online
Company Overview:
2MO is a leading construction firm in New York City, specializing in high-end commercial and residential projects. Our commitment to excellence has earned us a reputation for quality on design and construction.
Job Description:
We’re looking for a proactive Sales & Marketing Assistant who can drive new business through cold calling, digital outreach, and appointment setting. Your primary focus will be to connect with architects, interior designers, vendors, and other partners to generate qualified appointments and long-term partnerships for our renovation & remodeling company.
You’ll combine classic outbound sales (phone, email, LinkedIn) with modern digital marketing support (CRM, email campaigns, social media, basic lead-gen tasks).
Please Note:
We welcome applications from candidates based in New York City or New Jersey with a valid driver’s license, as the role involves commuting between job sites. This is an in-person position, and the ability to commute is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Outbound Sales & Appointment Setting
- Make outbound calls to targeted lists of architects, interior designers, vendors, builders, and other B2B partners to introduce our services and explore collaboration.
- Follow call scripts and value propositions tailored to architects and construction-related decision makers.
- Qualify prospects based on predefined criteria (project volume, location, fit with our services, decision-making role).
- Set and confirm appointments (phone, Zoom, or in-person) for the owner/senior sales representative and ensure all details are accurate in the calendar and CRM.
- Conduct follow-up calls and emails with warm leads, past inquiries, and dormant contacts to re-engage interest.
- Log all calls, outcomes, and next steps in the CRM; maintain an organized and up-to-date pipeline.
- Hit or exceed weekly and monthly targets for calls, conversations, and qualified appointments.
- Lead Generation & List Building
- Research and build prospect lists of architectural firms, design studios, suppliers, and contractors in New York and surrounding areas.
- Use online directories, LinkedIn, industry associations, and events to identify new leads.
- Segment leads by niche (e.g., residential architects, commercial designers, vendors, etc.) for more targeted outreach.
- Digital Marketing Support
- Assist with email marketing campaigns to architects and vendors (e.g., newsletters, project spotlights, partnership offers).
- Support social media activities (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.): posting updates, engaging with relevant firms, and promoting case studies and promotions.
- Help execute basic lead generation campaigns across multiple channels (email, social, possibly paid ads) and track responses.
- Coordinate with designers/content creators to ensure marketing materials (brochures, decks, email templates) are up to date and aligned with our brand.
- Monitor simple KPIs such as response rates, booked appointments, and campaign performance, and prepare brief reports.
- Relationship Nurturing & Admin
- Send follow-up materials (portfolio links, brochures, case studies) after calls and meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, conversations, and agreements in the CRM.
- Support the sales team in preparing for meetings (background research on firms, prior projects, decision makers).
- Provide excellent, professional communication that reflects well on the company and helps foster long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Experience
- 1–3+ years experience in a sales support, appointment setting, business development, or sales/marketing assistant role (B2B strongly preferred).
- Proven experience with cold calling and appointment setting, ideally for construction, remodeling, real estate, or similar home-improvement industries.
- Experience working remotely and collaborating with a distributed team.
- Sales & Communication Skills
- Confident, clear, and fluent English (both spoken and written).
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and handling objections professionally.
- Strong relationship-building skills with professional audiences such as architects, designers, and vendors.
- Persuasive but consultative approach; able to communicate value and differentiate our services.
- Marketing & Tech Skills
- Working knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, or similar) and basic sales reporting.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, or similar).
- Basic understanding of digital marketing & lead generation (email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, basic SEO/social media concepts).
- Comfortable using online research tools, LinkedIn, and industry directories to build prospect lists.
- Work Style
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Results-driven, with the ability to work towards weekly/monthly KPIs.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work full-time during Eastern Time business hours.
We Offer:
- Competitive salary (commensurate with experience).
- Performance bonuses tied to result
- Paid time off, and growth opportunities.
