2026 Novartis Summer Internship – Corporate Affairs – Patient Advocacy

About The Role

 

The Patient Advocacy intern will support the US Patient Advocacy team in addressing the needs of patient communities and advancing the reputation of Novartis as a focused medicines company that reimagines medicine with the patient at the center of everything we do. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in patient advocacy and work with patient groups in different disease areas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the US Patient Advocacy team’s development and maintenance of valued partnerships with patient advocacy organizations, including organizing and attending meetings, coordinating follow up 
  • Assist in coordinating and organizing patient advisory boards, patient insight panels, or other projects to understand patient and care partner experiences
  • Support the company's participation in patient organization events, conferences and internal programs
  • Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support review and prioritization of incoming therapeutic area grants and sponsorship requests
  • Support collaboration with cross functional internal teams, including preparation for meetings, business reviews

Minimum Requirements

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in U.S. accredited degree-granting college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree. Public Health, Advocacy, Communications, or related fields preferred.

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and able to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment.

• Have a high degree of organizational skills, including attention to detail and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Be competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team

 

Please note that this internship is a fixed-term engagement and does not constitute an offer of employment from Novartis.  Magnit, an external Managed Service Provider, will facilitate the hiring and management for this role.
