Position: Junior AWS DevOps Engineer
Location: Reston, VA (Onsite – 5 days/week)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Entry level AWS DevOps Engineer with strong experience supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on skills with AWS services—including S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, RDS, Redshift—and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and GitLab/Jenkins. You will be responsible for designing automated deployment workflows, provisioning resilient cloud environments, and ensuring reliable operations through monitoring, logging, and performance optimization. This role requires a strong understanding of DevOps principles, cloud automation, scripting, and collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
•Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab/Jenkins or Terraform/Git and automation frameworks to support application and data workloads.
•Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation to enable scalable, secure, and highly available environments.
•Develop and maintain automation scripts and tooling in Python to streamline deployments, operational tasks, and resiliency testing.
•Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using CloudWatch dashboards, logging, and alerts.
•Support the provisioning and configuration of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, RDS, and Redshift.
•Implement resiliency automation, self-healing mechanisms, and operational runbooks to improve system stability.
•Work with development, data engineering, and cloud operations teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize cloud resources.
•Manage infrastructure lifecycles, environment upgrades, configuration changes, and patching processes.
•Document infrastructure designs, deployment workflows, operational procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
•Strong experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Redshift.
•Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
•Expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
•Proficiency in Python scripting for automation, deployments, and cloud operations tasks.
•Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log analysis for troubleshooting and optimization.
•Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
•Excellent communication, teamwork, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
