Summer Camp Counselor

Few environments can match both the spirit of camp and the positive impact it has on children. We encourage our counselors to exercise their creative abilities, share personal interests and talents, and challenge themselves as they challenge their campers. Our counselors come from all over the country and the world, bringing with them a wide variety of skills, abilities, and backgrounds.

Cabin counselors live with a particular bunk and age group and also spend part of their day at an activity area of expertise. Our activity areas include; land sports, watersports, creative & performing arts, adventure and more. Counselors are expected to be role models who must be fun-loving, creative, patient, and genuinely concerned for the welfare and development of the campers.

Camp Somerset is a new facility on East Pond, one of the beautiful Belgrade Lakes in Central Maine. We are a short drive to Portland, Acadia, Bar Harbor, and countless other Maine destinations.
