USF Tampa Campus - FWS Student Assistant

The FWS Student Assistant position will administratively support the Office of Provost's staff.
This is an hourly, time-limited appointment of a student who has been awarded FWS financial aid. Federal Work Study Students are paid from Federal Financial Aid funds and may only work until those funds are exhausted. FWS may only work a maximum of 20 hours per week while classes are in session.

 

Average Number of Hours per Week: 20 hours

Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday – between 8am and 5pm

The Student Assistant’s work schedule will be based on the student’s class schedule and departmental needs.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

· Professional dress and demeanor

· Proficient using Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

· Excellent communication, writing and customer service skills

· Currently enrolled, degree-seeking, USF student who is currently enrolled and in good academic standing.

· Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) and Summer Work Study (SWS) award for the current academic year in order to apply for this position. Applicants are asked to demonstrate proof of their FWS award by saving their “Award Overview” screen from Student Self Service as a print screen and then pasting it into a Word document and uploading it as part of any additional required application materials. If other documents (in addition to your FWS award) are required as part of your application, you must upload ALL documents as one document. To access Student Self Service, log in to single sign-on at my.usf.edu > enter Student Self Service > choose “Financial Aid” from the menu > choose “My Award and Loan Information” > click the “Award Overview” tab > save this page. Note: This page will include applicant’s loan, scholarship, and grant information.

· One year working experience in a professional office setting
