Adjunct English Instructor

Aspira City College is seeking a passionate and dedicated Adjunct English Instructor to teach English courses for our associate and certificate programs. We are looking for an instructor who can engage students in both in-person and online learning environments while fostering strong communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities:

Teach college-level English courses, including composition, reading, and literature

Develop and deliver course materials aligned with ASPIRA City College standards and learning outcomes

Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student progress

Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course documentation

Support the academic development of students from varied educational backgrounds

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in English, Communications, Education, or a related field

Master’s degree preferred

Teaching experience in a college, trade school, or adult education setting (preferred)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively with diverse learners and support skill development
