Sales and Marketing Intern

Description: 

StartingBlock seeks an Sales and Marketing Intern to join our growing team. This position will help manage membership sales, event planning, coordination and support for events and marketing. We are a small team and are looking for “can-do” people with enthusiasm, energy and creativity.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the CEO promote and sell StartingBlock memberships to startup founders and remote workers. 
  • In partnership with the CEO and Director of Programming, coordinate the logistics of event planning for StartingBlock, StartingBlock members and ecosystem events. 
  • Be onsite for client events.
  • Willingness to work early mornings, after hours, nights and occasional weekends.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities.
  • Motivated by selling and closing deals.
  • Passion for events, an eye for details and keen sense of customer service.
  • “Can do” attitude.
  • Self-starter.
  • Team Player.
  • Strong Organizational Skills.
  • Project Management Skills.
  • Ability and willingness to respond to emergent situations and change direction with little or no notice.
  • Experience with Hubspot and Wix.

Compensation:

  • This is a paid position.
  • Hours will vary week to week.  The typical schedule will be approximately 15 - 20 hours per week.
  • The hourly rate is $20 per hour.
