2D Animator for Children's Series
Project Overview:
Do you love cartoons? Do you want to create content that makes kids smile and learn? We are seeking talented 2D Animators to create episodes for a series of wholesome YouTube videos for kids ages 3–6!
We are looking for seniors or recent graduates who love color, movement, and heartwarming stories to bring our animations to life.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Animating: You will take scripts, voiceovers, and music and turn them into finished 5-8 minute videos. We are looking for a mix of animation styles—utilizing character rigging and "puppet" techniques balanced with hand-drawn touches for expressive, high-impact moments.
- Designing: We provide a library of core assets (including our main characters) and several key backgrounds. You will draw/build new secondary characters, props, and backgrounds as needed.
- Visual Style: The goal is a warm, traditional "storybook" feel. We prefer textured, "fuzzy" bitmap lines and organic colors rather than sharp, sterile digital vectors.
The Niceties
- 100% Remote: Work from the comfort of your own creative space.
- Flexible Schedule: We have allotted 8 weeks per video. We designed this timeline to allow you to balance this project alongside other work or school commitments.
- Weekly Collaboration: Communication is key! We maintain a consistent weekly check-in on a set day to share progress reports and assets. This ensures we stay on track for our 8-week goal and allows for quick, supportive feedback.
- Creative Freedom: We love animation that is expressive, wholesome, and colorful.
The Details
- Software & Style: Proficiency in 2D animation software (such as Toon Boom, Moho, or Adobe Animate). We want a hybrid approach that balances efficiency with the charm of hand-drawn details.
- Compensation: $125 to $175 per minute of animation (rate depends on experience and portfolio quality).
- Experience: A genuine interest in children’s media is a must! We want someone who enjoys "wholesome" storytelling. Show us your previous work along these lines.
To Apply: Please submit your resume and a link to your portfolio/demo reel.
