Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Intern

Position Summary:   

Provide a high level of support for multiple managers by performing the following duties. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • The primary function of the Intern is to assist with the day-to-day functions of the Brokerage department.
  • Organizing and maintaining real estate contracts, property listings, client files, and other important paperwork. 
  • Answering client inquiries, providing updates on transactions, and coordinating communications between clients, brokers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Assist in scheduling inspections, appraisals and closings, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted on time. 
  • Inputting transaction details in the company CRM, generating reports on sales activity and marketing trends. 
  • Scheduling meetings, handling incoming calls and maintaining the overall efficiency of the brokerage department. 
  • Ensuring adherence to real estate regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Understanding current market conditions, property values and rental rates, and competitive landscape to better advise clients. 
  • Assist clients in finding suitable commercial properties to fit their needs. 
  • Assist with marketing materials, property listings, and promotional activities. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Identify as a “teachable” employee and have a “can-do” attitude, professional correspondence etiquette, strong interpersonal skills and take “ownership”/pride in work deliverables.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (creating formulas, spreadsheets), Outlook (calendar, address book, meeting requests, creating rules) and PowerPoint. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to  stay on task to  consistently meet deadlines in a busy office setting. 
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Analytical ability to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

 

Minimum Qualifications : 

  • This internship is designed for candidates with a strong academic background, preferably in business or real estate.
  • Current college junior, senior, or graduate level student.
  • Desire to work in the commercial real estate industry.
  • Must have reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screen.
