The Office of the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Success (SAVP) of the West Chester University of Pennsylvania invites applications for Graduate Assistantship for the spring 2026 semester.
Qualified students must be admitted to a master’s level program. The Graduate Assistantship comes with a corresponding 12 credits Tuition Waiver for the Spring 2026 semester. Qualified students will be required to work 20 hours per week for the semester that they receive an assistantship.
Responsibilities of the Office of the SAVP Graduate Assistants
The Graduate Assistant for The Office of the Senior Associate Vice President for Student Success (SAVP) will assist the Senior Associate VP in the planning, communication, and implementation of all student success initiatives. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating events such as ATLAS, RAMp Up, the Student Success Fair, and Welcome Stations
- Design, edit and produce email communications and event materials as well as the office newsletter.
- Work collaboratively with the WCU Information Services staff to develop, expand, and maintain the website.
- Participation in the Student Success Advisory Committee (SSAC).
- Review reports for trends (data analysis) and make recommendations to SAVP
- Any additional responsibilities assigned by the SAVP.
Other Expectations of the Office of the SAVP Graduate Assistants
In addition to satisfactory fulfillment of assistantship duties, satisfactory work performance and excellence in academic and scholastic performance are necessary to maintain the assistantship. Graduate assistants are bound by the Student Code of Conduct. Findings from the Office of Student Conduct may be disclosed to The Graduate School and could result in revocation of the assistantship. Graduate Assistants must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average per semester.

Graduate Assistants report directly to Dr. Tabetha Adkins (tadkins@wcupa.edu), the Sr. Assoc. VP for Student Success and University College Dean
