High School Math Teacher
High School Mathematics Teacher.
At a Small Blended Independent Study Charter School that nurtures students to reach their academic goals successfully.
Students attend in person class instruction when their subject course is scheduled Tuesday through Friday, as well as, at home completing their assignments at a reasonable pace. Teachers work remotely on Mondays.
Educating students on mathematical concepts by creating lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, and assessing student progress through assignments and tests. Key responsibilities include fostering a positive and productive classroom environment, collaborating with parents and colleagues, providing extra help to students who need it, and preparing students for standardized tests.
Concepts mainly in Algebra, Geometry, and 2yr Algebra B & D
Each family and student is assigned a credentialed Advisor. An Advisor meets face-to-face with the student and/or parent at least once every 5 school attendance days.
The Advisor is responsible for:
- Completing the required paperwork and documentation for each student and keeping current academic records
- Advising and counseling both parents and students about educational opportunities available through their school
- Communicating school information to the parents
- Evaluating student progress
- Keeping current with school policy and procedure
- Providing instructional services
- Using computer technology
