Graphics and Web UI/UX Designer

This full-time Graphics & Web UI/UX Designer role is based in Valdese, NC. The designer will develop user-focused, visually intriguing website assets for B2C and B2B websites that enhance the appeal of Valdese Weaver's portfolio of brands. In addition to web design, this role will be responsible for producing compelling graphic designs, editing images and promoting creative concepts that align with the company's objectives. This role involves heavy collaboration with IT and marketing teams, therefore a team-oriented mindset and high level of comfort with steady communication is a must. 

Essential Functions:

  • Work in a team environment between associates, departments, and outside customers and vendors.
  • Understand the company's ESOP goals and measurements.
  • Develop user-centered interaction and visual design methodology for B2B and B2C websites that improve the usability, enhance brand appeal, and maximize the interaction between the user and the product or service
  • Communicate and coordinate web projects with the IT and Marketing teams
  • Create high-quality visual graphics communications and interfaces in support of company marketing strategies.
  • Support photo editing, project conceptualization, typography, and infographic design as needed.
  • Provide high-quality in-house printing as needed for presentations & projects.
  • Oversee website SEO tools and tracking to increase quality website traffic for all brands.
  • Stay up to date with the latest print and digital graphic design & web trends and tools to help expand internal marketing resources & knowledge to help elevate brand awareness.
  • Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A Graphic Design degree or experience is required.
  • Web UI/UX degree or experience required.
  • Proficient Adobe suite (specifically Illustrator), Photoshop, InDesign, and/or relative graphic software.
  • Must be able to multitask, manage multiple deadline-driven projects, and have exceptional communication skills.
