What We’re Looking For

 

Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for a Medical Economics Rate Support Specialist to join our team! The Medical Economics Rate Support Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for rates and is required to stay fully informed of any new regulatory or Government rule changes as it relates to State and Medicaid Fee Schedules. This position will also collaborate with stakeholders and various internal departments on existing provider rates projects and other functions to develop strategies for financially viable payment structures.

 

On a typical day, you might:

 

  • Maintain and update rates in all applicable systems, using multiple data sources. 
  • Assist with developing tracking forms and desk top processes as needed to address assigned aspects of rate setting and maintenance.
  • Provides technical assistance to providers on accurately completing Special Rate Requests and accessing rates related documentation and forms.
  • Enhance and improve existing processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Assist with internal and external inquiries to resolve provider reimbursement issues.
  • Provides administrative assistance with projects or assignments when needed.

Qualifications

 

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience in business field and Excel experience; OR
  • Equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must reside within North Carolina.
  • Must be able to travel within catchment as required.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
  • Experience in the accounting field.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet.
