Location and Work Schedule

This position is open to California Resident Candidates Only. Work location is Alhambra, CA 91803 (Los Angeles area).  It operates on a HYBRID schedule (2 days onsite, 2 days telework) with a 4/40 workweek (10-hour days, Monday–Thursday).

Are you an experienced Principal Data Scientist ready to lead a comprehensive Data Science Program? We are seeking a visionary leader to advance data-driven decision-making, accelerate the adoption of advanced analytics, and leverage modern platforms like Databricks to deliver cutting-edge predictive analytics and AI solutions. You'll play a critical role in guiding program development, providing mentorship, and building internal capacity.

Key Requirements

Education: Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field (additional professional experience may substitute for education).

Experience: Five (5)+ years leading data science initiatives, including developing ML models and end-to-end data science workflows in production.

Platform Expertise: Three (3)+ years of experience with Databricks and similar cloud-based analytics platforms (notebook development, feature engineering, ML model training, workflow orchestration).

Advanced Analytics: Three (3)+ years applying advanced analytics and predictive modeling (e.g., regression, classification, forecasting, NLP).

MLOps: Two (2)+ years implementing MLOps practices (model versioning, CI/CD for ML, MLflow, automated pipelines, performance monitoring).

Programming: Two (2)+ years of experience with Python and SQL programming.

Mentorship: Proven mentorship capabilities, including two (2)+ years mentoring or supervising junior data scientists or analysts.

Certification: Possession of an industry-recognized certification in data science or cloud analytics (e.g., Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate, Databricks Certified Data Scientist, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, or equivalent).
