Application Integration Graduate Summer Intern

About the Position

The position will entail working in Azure Data Factory with the Data Application Engineer to create a suitable data lake environment. Process, normalize, and transform data from API calls. Working in ERP application the Foundation is currently implementing. Maintain, review, document and update current integrations with various applications, including but not limited to Great Plains, Workday, Fluxx, Okta, and Everbridge.

 

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

  • Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions. 
  • Incorporate core data management competencies including data governance, data modeling, and data quality.
  • Perform data and system analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity and correct as appropriate.
  • Design, implement, and maintain various workflow processes and procedures.
  • Participate in planning, direction, coordination, execution, and completion of integrations pertaining to internal systems and external applications.

 

Qualifications

  • Current graduate students majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in one or more development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, SQL, T-SQL, C# or C++
  • Understanding of APIs, databases, and database systems.
  • Understanding of computer application principles and procedures.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Functional process management understanding

 

What we offer our Interns

  • A pay rate of $30/hour for Graduate students
  • Housing stipend of $350 per month
  • Volunteer opportunity or group activity.
  • Breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily for a minimal charge from our Troy cafeteria       

 

This position is located at the Troy, MI or Detroit, MI office and has a hybrid schedule. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-office days. Therefore, the Foundation highly encourages applications from local metro-Detroit university students and students who will be local to the metro-Detroit area over the summer.
