NH Peace Action Spring Internship
Internship Responsibilities may include depending on focus:
- Work on volunteer recruitment and volunteer outreach by attending community events and through tabling, canvassing, phone-banking, and other creative measures
- Post approved messaging to social media and communications, including email blasts like NHPA weekly newsletter
- Assist with fundraising efforts, such as the annual online auction, through event planning and direct donor outreach
- Conduct research and background preparation for issue campaigns, presentations, and workshops
- Design a project or an event with the supervision and support of the board management team and staff
- Collaborate with board members of NHPA on various projects, tasks, and goals
- Research topics for the weekly Action/Legislative Alert
- Assist in planning annual “Peace of Mind” retreat (depending on time of year)
Desired Qualifications:
- Commitment to peace and justice and willingness to expand your understanding of various intersectional connections between peace and other social justice movements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize and facilitate online and in-person meetings with volunteers.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in or coursework related to peace studies, political science, communications, nonprofit management, or other related fields.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.
- Access to reliable transportation, as the role will require some in-state travel.
- Some experience with Canva, Action Network, Google applications, various social media platforms.
