Speech Language Pathologist

Speech Language Pathologist (Full-Time)

At Potential Inc., we are dedicated to helping children and adolescents with Autism develop communication, social, and academic skills to reach their fullest potential. Our Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a critical role in delivering evidence-based, individualized care to students ages 6–21 in our Newtown school setting.

This is a full-time position with a year-round schedule and an extended school year (ESY). SLPs collaborate closely with Special Education Teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement personalized interventions that improve functional communication and overall student outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, including evaluating swallowing and expressive/receptive communication skills
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with each student’s IEP goals
• Lead one-on-one and group therapy sessions to promote measurable skill development
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists in IEP meetings to ensure coordinated care
• Provide support for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including assessments, recommendations, and troubleshooting
• Document progress and maintain detailed records to track each student’s growth and outcomes
• Integrate principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into therapy sessions to enhance learning and engagement

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Pennsylvania SLP licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Reliable transportation to our Newtown school location
