Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a key role in helping adults develop essential skills, participate in everyday activities, and engage within their communities.
This part-time position offers consistent weekly hours, one-on-one client support, and the opportunity to make a daily impact by fostering safety, independence, and personal growth.
What You’ll Do
• Provide one-on-one support to adults with Autism or intellectual/developmental disabilities in private homes and community settings
• Assist with activities of daily living, communication development, behavior reduction, and community integration
• Follow individualized plans designed to meet each client's unique goals and needs
• Promote independence, safety, and well-being while building a positive and trusting client relationship
• Collect accurate data, write session notes, and complete required service logs and timesheets
• Utilize basic technology for documentation and communication
• Collaborate with your client’s Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and incorporate feedback into future sessions
• Maintain client safety, confidentiality, and a supportive environment focused on personal progress
Who You Are
• Passionate about supporting adults with disabilities in their daily lives and helping them build meaningful skills
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently with one client at a time
• Open to coaching, direction, and collaboration with clinical supervisors
• Comfortable driving your client in your personal vehicle when needed
• Motivated to create a safe, respectful, and empowering experience for the individuals you support
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to drive your client using your personal vehicle
– Active driver’s license, car insurance, registration, and inspection required
• Matching availability for Southampton: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 AM–3 PM (or 8:45 AM–2:45 PM)
• Ability to accurately document sessions, collect data, and complete service logs
• Basic technology proficiency
• Commitment to maintaining client safety and confidentiality
