Intel-Sponsored 8-Week Paid Summer Internship – June 1 to July 24, 2026
Are you a high school or undergraduate student curious about semiconductors and microelectronics? Central State University is proud to host the 2026 Intel-Sponsored Summer Internship Program in Semiconductors and Microelectronics—an intensive, hands-on experience that builds real skills and opens doors to future careers.
Program Details
- Dates: June 1 – July 24, 2026 (8 weeks)

Internship Sites:
- Central State University – Wilberforce, OH
- University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, MI
- Prairie View A&M University – Prairie View, TX
- Eligibility: Open to all high school and undergraduate students with an interest in STEM
Scholarship & Benefits
- $5,000 stipend and food allowance
- Paid on-campus housing at your internship site
Internship Curriculum
You’ll gain foundational knowledge and practical lab experience through modules such as:
- Introduction to Microelectronics Design (2 weeks)
- Introduction to Microelectronics Security (2 weeks)
- Introduction to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Fabrication and Design (2 weeks)
- Introduction to Microelectronics Fabrication (1 week)
- Additive Microfabrication of Electronics (1 week)
Program Goals
This eight-week mentored program is designed to give you:
- Hands-on training in electronic hardware design, fabrication, and security
- Daily morning lectures followed by afternoon lab practice, five days a week
- Exposure to career paths at leading technology companies, including Intel
No prior experience in microelectronics is required—a basic understanding of high school mathematics is enough.
