Head Early Childhood Educator

Head Early Childhood Educator (Lead Teacher)

Progressive German-Immersion Preschool in Brooklyn, NY

Do you find genuine joy in working with young children and their families? Are you excited by the idea that learning happens best in a warm, collaborative environment where educators, children, and families co-construct knowledge together? Can you imagine a truly child-centered classroom, one where you observe children closely, follow their ideas with curiosity, and design inquiry-based experiences rooted in their interests?

If this resonates with you, we would love to meet you.

About Wurzelkinder

Wurzelkinder is a progressive, mixed-age (2–5 y/o) German-immersion preschool in Brooklyn. Our approach is inspired by Co-Construction Theory, Froebel, and Reggio Emilia. We believe children thrive in environments where their voices matter, their ideas are valued, and learning emerges naturally from play, exploration, and relationships.

We offer full-day programming and aftercare, and our classrooms reflect a loving, joyful, interest-driven approach to early childhood education.
