We are looking for a UI/UX AI Product Designer with strong system-thinking, interaction design, and AI-native design experience. Someone who can take complex backend capabilities (model routing, latency metrics, tokens, logs, evals, agents) and translate them into elegant, intuitive experiences.

What You’ll Own

1. Designing AI Developer Tools; You will design:

• Model playgrounds (chat, completions, multimodal UI)
• Token visualization, latency surfaces, and inference dashboards
• Evals UI (benchmarks, datasets, scoring, comparisons)
• Model routing + model selection interfaces
• Monitoring/observability tools for AI systems
• API UX (error surfaces, logs, traces, token usage, analytics)

2. AI-Native Interaction Design

• Build interaction patterns for LLMs, agents, retries, reasoning visibility, and uncertainty
• Convert ambiguous AI outputs into predictable UX
• Design interfaces for experimentation, iteration, and model comparison
• Build smooth user flows for developers integrating models

3. Product Strategy + Systems Thinking

• Partner with founders and engineers to define product direction
• Translate complex infra capabilities into user-understandable surfaces
• Map user journeys for developers, enterprises, and technical teams
• Conduct lightweight research/testing to validate new UX patterns

4. Design Systems + Visual Identity

• Own our Figma design system
• Define layouts, components, interaction states, and motion
• Create a visual identity that reflects reliability, performance, and clarity
• Ensure consistency across dashboard, docs, website, and product

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have

• 3+ years experience in UI/UX or Product Design
• Strong portfolio showing clean UI, UX flows, and systems thinking
• Experience designing for AI/ML tools, developer products, or technical dashboards
• Comfort working with ambiguity + rapid iteration
• Ability to design for data-dense interfaces (tables, charts, logs, metrics)
• Fluency in Figma, prototyping, and component-driven design

Nice-to-Have

• Master student
• Experience with AI: LLMs, agents, model evaluation tools, embeddings, vector search
• Exposure to developer tool UX (APIs, SDK flows, onboarding)
• Knowledge of usability testing or user research
• Startup experience or comfort with fast execution
• Motion or animation experience for AI interactions

Example Projects You Might Work On

• A unified model playground with chat, code, multimodal, and embeddings views
• A live inference dashboard with latency, throughput, and token graphs
• A model benchmark explorer that compares model performance across datasets
• An AI agent designer with chain-of-thought visualization (without revealing sensitive data)
• A debugging interface that shows logs, traces, retries, and token-level diffs
• A UI that helps developers test model configs, routing, or cost/latency tradeoffs
