Yearling Prep Intern
Yearling Prep Internship
Includes five days of hands-on farm work and one day a week in a classroom setting. Interns work directly prepping their own string of Standardbred yearlings during the sales season. They will spend their days grooming, bringing in, turning out, feeding, exercising, and mucking stalls. Classroom sessions cover nutrition, exercise, conformation, pedigrees, reproduction, and general industry knowledge to support what the interns learn on-farm.
Horse experience is preferred. The role is physically demanding and requires long days on your feet. Consistency, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are essential.
