Schedule: Sunday–Friday during camp sessions
Classification: Exempt, Seasonal
Reports To: Cabin Supervisor & Camp Program Manager
About the Role
Spend your summer making a difference! As a Summer Camp Counselor, you’ll work directly with campers with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them engage, grow, and thrive in every aspect of camp life. Each week, you’ll be part of a cabin team with a co-counselor and Ranch Hand (CIT), supporting up to eight campers.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support campers in cabins, activities, and mealtimes
- Assist with daily living tasks (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting, meals)
- Lead and participate in camp activities, games, and traditions
- Promote a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Monitor camper wellness and ensure safety procedures are followed
- Maintain communication with camper families and staff
What We’re Looking For
- Age 18+
- High school diploma or equivalent (college experience preferred)
- Pass background check, drug screen, and TB test
- Willing to live on-site in shared staff housing
- Energetic, compassionate, and adaptable
- Comfortable providing personal care to campers
- Passion for working with individuals with disabilities
- Committed to a drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free environment
- Ready to fully embrace the camp lifestyle
