Responsibilities
Patient Care & Treatment
Conduct thorough evaluations and interpret results to identify patient needs and create individualized treatment plans (in collaboration with referring providers when required).
Deliver high-quality, hands-on physical therapy including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional mobility training, and the use of appropriate modalities and technology.
Educate, motivate, and assist patients in performing therapeutic activities, using assistive devices, and adopting healthy movement patterns.
Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs to support continued progress outside the clinic.
Clinical Evaluation & Documentation
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and recommend modifications to prosthetic or orthotic devices as needed.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Participate in discharge planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth transitions of care.
Safety, Compliance & Professional Standards
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment in accordance with facility policies, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of clinic equipment; report malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Professional Growth & Team Collaboration
Stay current with best practices by participating in continuing education, reviewing emerging research, and engaging in professional development activities.
Contribute to clinic culture by supporting colleagues, participating in team meetings, and mentoring or training staff as needed.
Support organizational goals and initiatives and assist with related duties as requested.
Qualifications & Skills
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s/Bachelor’s level degree in Physical Therapy (per local licensing requirements).
Active, unrestricted Physical Therapy license.
Strong clinical reasoning and patient-communication skills.
Ability to create a positive, motivating experience for patients.
Commitment to quality, safety, and professional ethics.
Organized, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Experience with EMR systems preferred.
