Member Services Coordinator, Full-time

YMCA of Middle Tennessee - Northwest Family YMCA Center

 

Position Summary:
Join the YMCA of Middle Tennessee and help create a welcoming, engaging environment for our members! As a Member Services Coordinator, you’ll lead the Welcome Center team, ensure exceptional member experiences, and connect members to programs that support their health and well-being. This role combines leadership, customer service, and relationship-building in a mission-driven organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility
  • Supervise Welcome Center operations and membership staff (hiring, training, scheduling, coaching)
  • Build relationships with members and promote programs
  • Ensure a safe, positive environment and address member concerns promptly
  • Assist with membership sales, retention strategies, and marketing efforts
  • Maintain knowledge of YMCA programs and wellness initiatives
  • Support budget management and membership goals
  • Participate in fundraising efforts and association committees

 

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the YMCA mission and community service
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule (some evenings/weekends)
  • Minimum age: 18; High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience preferred; YMCA experience a plus

 

Post-Hire Certifications:

  • CPR/First Aid/AED within 30 days of hire
  • Membership software training within 2 weeks
  • New Hire Orientation before first shift
