Emotional Speech Research Assistant

Position Overview

Type: Remote, Part-Time

What You'll Do

  • Listen to audio recordings of people expressing various emotions
  • Identify and label the emotions displayed in each speech sample
  • Provide detailed observations about vocal qualities, tone, and emotional nuance
  • Complete brief surveys about your assessments
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy throughout the evaluation process

Ideal Candidates

We're especially interested in individuals with:

  • Theater, Drama, or Performing Arts students - your training in understanding human expression is invaluable!
  • Voice acting or speech/communication studies background
  • Psychology, linguistics, or related fields
  • Strong emotional intelligence and active listening skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to articulate observations
