Graphic Design Intern

About Us:

Third Shift is a functional personal care brand creating hair and body care products centered around time-efficiency, convenience, and ease for time starved, busy women. 
 

What We’re Looking For:

We're on the lookout for passionate Design & Content creation Interns to join our small, creative team. You’ll work closely with the founder to create design assets across branding, packaging, social content, and more. Suitable for students or emerging creatives looking to build their portfolio with real brand work.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Create visual assets for social media, website, email, and marketing campaigns.
  • Support packaging design, including label layouts, print-ready files, and product mockups.
  • Contribute to refining and maintaining Third Shift’s brand identity across all platforms.
  • Assist with UI/UX design for the website and digital experiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content functions to deliver campaign and launch-related creatives.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute design-led ideas.
     

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree or formal training in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts, UI/UX, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop; InDesign is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of visual fundamentals ability to create clean, modern, brand-aligned visual designs with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with social media formats (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) and content design.
  • Ability to take direction, integrate feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Ability to commit 10–15 hours per week during the academic term and 30-40 hours per week during winter/summer breaks. 
  • A portfolio (student work is fine) that demonstrates design thinking, creativity, and execution quality.
     

Nice-to-Have Qualifications: 

  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or simple animation (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut).
  • Previous internship or freelance project experience with a consumer brand, beauty brand, or startup.
  • Interest in D2C brands, beauty/personal care, or women’s lifestyle sectors.

  • Entrepreneurial Insight: Understand how brand-building, experimentation, rapid iteration, and customer feedback influence product and design choices in a startup setting.
     
  • Experience in the beauty and personal care industry: You will be working with a lean team and get insights into different functions and operations of a beauty and personal care startup. 
     
  • Flexible Work Environment: Remote-friendly role with flexible scheduling.
