Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Proctor
Rochester Community Schools (RCS) is seeking college juniors, seniors, and graduate students pursuing education or school counseling to serve as Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Proctors for Spring 2026.
This is a great paid opportunity to earn money, gain meaningful school experience, and strengthen your résumé while working with one of Michigan’s top school districts. If you are organized, dependable, and comfortable using laptops, this role is a great fit.
What does an AP Proctor do?
AP Proctors help ensure a smooth and secure digital testing experience. Responsibilities include:
- Arriving early to organize materials and prepare testing rooms
- Assisting with laptop setup and navigating digital exam software
- Passing out and collecting secure testing materials
- Monitoring the testing room, walking the space, and ensuring students stay on the correct exam section
- Preventing academic dishonesty
- Verifying and accounting for all materials after each session
- Staying in communication with the AP Test Coordinator throughout the day
Testing locations for 2026:
- Rochester Adams High School
- Stoney Creek High School
- South Foundation Hall at Oakland University
Testing Window & Scheduling
AP testing will take place May 4–22, 2026.
Proctors may select half-day or full-day shifts depending on availability.
Compensation
- Half-Day Session (approx. 4.5 hours): $100
- Full-Day Session (proctoring both morning and afternoon on the same day): $220
Working multiple sessions is allowed and encouraged.
Training
- All AP Proctors must attend a required (and paid) in-person training in April 2026.
- Training details will be provided after hiring.
