Preschool Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher/ Teacher's Aide to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of childhood development and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where preschoolers can learn, grow, and thrive. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children aged 1 to 5years.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among students.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning experience for all children.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
- Engage with parents through regular communication about their child's activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of early childhood education best practices.
Requirements
- Must have CDA or be willing to obtain one while maintaining employment at our company. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including special education strategies when applicable. Students that are currently seeking a degree in Early Childhood Education are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with toddler-aged children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, nannying, or caregiving is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support children's social-emotional growth.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that fosters learning through play and exploration.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability in responding to the needs of young children.
