Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Accelerated Quantum Chemistry. Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA

Duties:

  • Collaborate with researchers, partners, and customers to innovate in quantum chemistry simulations.
  • Develop and optimize high-performance numerical methods for scientific computing at supercomputer scales.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution, applying both technical expertise and team management skills;
  • Stay current with developments in quantum chemistry, computational physics, and high-performance computing, sharing insights with NVIDIA teams.
  • Work closely with peer engineering, product, and program leaders to align software projects with broader company goals.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience developing high-performance numerical methods for scientific computing and quantum chemistry.
  • Experience working effectively in collaborative development teams with measurable impact;
  • Solid knowledge of CPU and GPU hardware architectures;
  • Familiarity with quantum chemistry techniques such as DFT, CCSD, Hartree-Fock, and HPC software development.
  • Experience with GPU compute programming models, including CUDA, OpenCL, or HIP.
