TV & Social Media Intern (Unpaid / For Academic Credit) – Spinoff Media, Inc.
About the role
Spinoff app is a new social platform focused on television. We help people track the shows they watch, share recommendations with friends, and join meaningful discussions about the stories that matter to them. We are preparing for our first beta launch and are looking for a creative intern who loves TV, social media, and being around people.
This is an unpaid internship. Academic credit may be available depending on your school’s requirements.
What you’ll work on
• Creating short-form videos related to TV, streaming, and entertainment
• Filming simple interviews where students share their favorite shows
• Gathering real-world feedback from peers and campus communities
• Helping research TV trends, popular genres, and viewer habits
• Assisting with social media content planning for TikTok and Instagram
• Helping test early product features and contributing creative ideas
• Light admin tasks related to content organization and market research
What you’ll learn
• How to create engaging social video content
• How real user research and audience insights shape product decisions
• What goes into building and launching an early-stage social app
• Understanding the intersection of TV, culture, and social platforms
• Exposure to startup workflows and early-stage creative strategy
What we’re looking for
• Interest in TV, entertainment, and social media
• Comfortable talking to people and filming simple on-campus interviews
• Creative, proactive, and willing to learn
• Knowledge of editing tools like capcut, canva, and
• Students seeking academic credit encouraged to apply
• A student living on campus in the United States
