Research Assistant- Department of Occupational Therapy (FWS)

Candidate will work independently under the supervision of the Chairperson in the Department of Occupational Therapy and assigned direct supervisor (graduate advisor) to assist with organizing research related events, scheduling and maintaining accurate records for studies; conduct literature reviews; assist with collecting, analyzing data; assist with preparing materials for submission to granting agencies; provide consultation for student research projects. Candidate must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA. Candidate must be highly organized, and self-directed with good verbal and written communication skills. Candidate should also demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, leadership skills, and demonstrate an interest in conducting research. Health related experience preferred. Computer literacy required.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities
a. Assist with organizing department research activities and schedule and maintain accurate
records for studies;
b. Conduct literature reviews; assist with collecting, and analyzing data;
c. Assist with preparing materials for submission to granting agencies;
d. Provide consultation for research related activities and student projects;
e. Assuming the role of teaching assistant and assisting with teaching material if needed.
f. Attend weekly meetings and scheduled training sessions as instructed by supervisor.
