Whizara offers student-centered, engaging after-school programs for K–12 learners. We are seeking an energetic and dependable Spanish Instructor to teach a Beginner Spanish class in Los Angeles, CA.

This role is open to a wide range of candidates: college students, recent graduates, bilingual speakers, heritage speakers, and professionals seeking meaningful part-time work.

What You’ll Do

  • Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
  • Teach Beginner Spanish using the structured curriculum provided
  • Introduce essential vocabulary, pronunciation, basic grammar, and simple conversation
  • Motivate and guide students to meet learning goals
  • Observe student progress and address learning needs as necessary
  • Maintain clear communication with school staff, parents, and Whizara
  • Keep the classroom organized and conducive to learning
  • Work independently and take initiative with classroom management
  • Communicate with Whizara through email and phone as needed

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Spanish (even beginner level is welcome)
  • Ability to confidently teach Spanish to K–12 students
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience with children preferred but not required
  • Patient, friendly, professional, and able to manage a classroom
  • Ability to work safely and respectfully with children
