About Whizara
Whizara offers student-centered, interactive, and highly engaging after-school programs for K–12 students. We are expanding our offerings to include Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and are looking for enthusiastic, high-energy instructors to teach in-person classes at 5841 Live Oak St., Bell Gardens, CA 90201.
This role is perfect for students, recent graduates, or aspiring educators who are passionate about working with children and making a meaningful impact. Responsibilities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that encourages active learning
- Arrive on time, stay organized, and ensure smooth class operations
- Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials while setting clear learning goals
- Motivate and guide students in developing self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer individualized support as needed
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning styles and group dynamics
- Collaborate with parents, school staff, and the Whizara team to achieve course objectives
- Maintain professional communication and share classroom insights to help refine instruction and curriculum
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred, but candidates from any course of study are welcome
- Current college students in related majors encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, empathy, and classroom management skills
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience with K–12 students preferred
- Comfortable working in a dynamic classroom environment
- Ability to teach in person at Bell Gardens, CA
